I always like to walk around the city and take photos of street art, including my own. Around 2014-ish, I started noticing that a lot of my pieces weren’t getting buffed (graffiti removal services), actually it was the complete opposite. They were actually buffing all the other guys’ work except mine. I thought it was funny to try and imagine what was going through the mind of that city worker when he approached the wall that he was hired to clean up. Like was he thinking, “Fuck my job, this is cool, I’ll just coverup all the other shit.” Like, it’s his job to clean that shit it up. Anyway, I thought it might make a funny book, so I made one, with before and after photos of these pieces.
